The second National Lockdown is here.

The priority is to keep people safe, but the government recognises that moving home is both essential for the individual and to keep money flowing through the economy. There is a huge trickle-down effect when you move home. Estate agents, solicitors, removal firms, utility companies, decorators, DIY stores and all their suppliers to name a few and this all helps to keep and create jobs.

The Good Estate Agent has been able to create more jobs during this pandemic and will be specifically focusing on creating more opportunities for some of the school/college leavers who have been left behind.

The Stamp Duty holiday, providing 0% Stamp Duty on homes up to £500,000, will end on 31st March 2021 so there is still time to take advantage of this.

Figures from Zoopla and the House Price Index show that nationally sales pipelines are 50% bigger than 1 year ago. Our own transaction volumes have trebled since this time last year and show no signs of abating.

Our policy for viewing is that no more than 2 people may view a property at any one time and must adhere to the guidelines in place at that time e.g. face coverings.  Prior to viewing a virtual walkthrough or video will be provided.

The Regulations specifically state that activities relating to the sector are allowed to continue under Exceptions to leaving home:

to undertake any of the following activities in connection with the purchase, sale, letting
or rental of a residential property—
(i) visiting estate or letting agents, developer sales offices or show homes;
(ii) viewing residential properties to look for a property to buy or to rent;
(iii) preparing a residential property to move in;
(iv) moving house;
(v) visiting a residential property to undertake any activities required for the rental or
sale of that property;

You can check property specific guidance directly via Propertymark who are regularly in direct contact with the housing minister.
