Who benefits from this? The consumer or high street estate agents? We’re interested to hear your views.
A new property portal set to launch later this month is trying to disrupt the market by blocking cheaper, online agents from publishing their properties with them.
OnTheMarket will also insist that members drop either Rightmove or Zoopla in a bid to hurt the competition.
But how does this benefit the consumer? The theory behind this seems to be to drive down the costs charged by portals and help maintain the costs charged to the consumer and therefore increase agents profits. Not good for the consumer!
We are not in agreement with this and will maintain full members of Rightmove and Zoopla giving our customers the maximum exposure and helping to save them money at the same time.
